How to connect to VPN w/ 2 NIC's?

I connect to a VPN & when I connect to the VPN all other internet capabilities are not accessable except the application i use with the VPN connection (can't browse the web, etc)

So I was wondering if it was possible for me to use 2 NICs and have the VPN connect through one and be able to use the net on the other?? please let me know if this is possible and what I need to do to make it work

VPN usually disables all access using other networks to make sure you do not become a security backdoor. You are bypassing security measures that were intentially put in place if you can get this to work. If web access is the big deal, have your netadmin put a proxy on the VPN network.
