I want to connect the Accelero L2 Pro fan to my card (H577FL1GD). Neither of the coolers are worth much, so I'm willing to cut wires but not exactly confident about messing with electrical components.
stock fan: red, black (2-pin female, spacing about 2mm - is that what they call "mini" 2-pin?)
L2 fan: red, black, blue and yellow (3- and 4-pin female)
Can I peel and twist those red+black wires together, or eg. get an adapter like this and still use the card's automatic RPM adjustment function?
Right now it's connected to the PSU at 7V because 12V is too loud for casual/HTPC use but 7V is not quite enough for gaming.
