How to connect a square filter to a normal lens?

I'm not great with photography.

So the camera itself isn't a typical camera. I don't have it with me so I can't figure out the exact lens size. I do know that it is manufactured by ScionCorp. This page suggests that it might be a C-mount, but I don't know how standard that is. Our particular camera was discontinued, but I figured it'd use the same mount. Anyway, we bought a filter that is 3" square and now we need a way to mount it onto the camera. When I searched, I found Cokin and was almost set with it. The only problem is that their systems are designed for 2.7", 3.3", and 4" square filters. What else can I try?

I think what you are looking for is a drop in filter. They make adapters that fits normal lenses.
