I have recently purchased a 2nd 300w ATX power supply to power my peltier. My question is, how do I connect it? If I connect it like most of the articles show, won't it supply power to my motherboard and chip, losing some of its capacity to power the peltier? If I do not connect it like this, the power supply will not have a load for 5v's, and I hear that it will not power the peltier properly ..
How much of a 5v load is needed on the power supply to make it function correctly?
Does the power switch connected to the motherboard basically short a ground and the power detecing lead in the ATX power supply, and can I connect the power switch to both short the connecters in the 2nd ATX power supply and to short the connectors on the motherboard without having to worry about frying the motherboard?
thanks for any information you guys can give on this whole situation.
