Wait a second. What kind of internet provider do you have that you notice a restricted speed with a 54mb network card?

I'm on charter (that's the cable internet provider here in the deep south). I don't think it's restricted, that's just what I get from the router with the wireless card.

reformatted my computer this weekend, and when I did so, the priority order for network devices was right where you said it would be. Thanks for the advice

Hey guys,

I have the similar problem here.

I have two DSL access from the same ISP.

First DSL line is wired over the LAN while the second one is connected to a Wifi router for wireless LAN acess.

So now, I have both the ethernet card connected to the wired LAN, and and the same time, I want to use my Wifi card to access to the wireless router.

Problem now is: I can only use either one at a time, not both.
I am wishing to boost the connection speed.

Any expert? Please help.

Thanks

CTC

I saw a router about a month ago that had 2 wan ports and did load balancing.. What you could do is..

Computer->Wired Nic -> load balancing router -> 1) wired port & 2) wireless bridge to an AP.

Would cost some money (the router was like $100 and the bridgeable AP would cost at least another $40)..

You could use a Xincom or a Hawking either can aggregate bandwidth. Planning a dual WAN setup w/ my cousin that lives in the same apt.

Possible to do in with software ?

I heard about make network Bridge in winXP, does it work as load balancing ?
sorry if I am wrong, i am such a newbie in networking stuff.
