How to combine 2 files into 1

Ok, I scan something to myself (e-mail) but the file is too big and it splits it into 2. So I have two (unknown file types) in two different mails. I downloaded them, Now how can I append these two chunks and open them? They are .pdf btw.

Well, I guess my E-mail client did it cause the scan was too big, its about 20 pages, and I would like it to be 1 pdf file. Should I break it up then put it back together in AdobeReader, or can I do that without having the Professional edition?

maybe this will work
copy /B file1+file2 destination_file

I took the easy way out and let Adobe Acrobat put um together after a broke it up into smaller chunks.
