How to clone on HD to another

How do I clone one old HD to another without any other hardware. Maybe wrong forum but I would appreciate the answer because I know there is a way, but I don't remember.

you'll need to connect the hard drives to a pc.

I use Copy Commander, bought it at Office Max, $29.00 much cheaper than Norton Ghost and works like a Charm with all OS
You don't even need to boot up to windows, self booting disk, will also format it if needed and copy everything to the new drive.

Some of the retail hdd's come with a utility that will do the same thing (for free) .........
I successfully used the Maxtor version in my Aunts pc.

you don't need the retail hd to do this. You can download the utility from the manufaturer's website. I use the latest download version of maxblast for this process. it's free and works perfectly.
