How to clone my hd?

I have a 500 gb hd. I want to install a new 2 tb hd and not have to reinstall my OS , which is Win 7 64 bit. I have herd I can clone it to the new drive and sole this, but not sure ob which program is the one I need? Clonezilla has been suggested. Which version should I use? They show several versions. I want to run it from a usb drive. The page I looked at shows a version for a i686? Is this it?

Clonezilla would work, as well as many other free programs that are offered by the maker of the HD (check their web site).
http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php Get the stable one, it is a live iso, so you can make a CD or USB flash drive.
Or get the free version of Paragon or Acronis or ...

I've been using EaseUs ToDo Backup Free edition for 2 years now it's super easy. You can even clone from smaller to larger drive (or other way) which is otherwise a pain since most cloning applications do not support it.
