How to Clone a Hard drive to another new drive....

Yea I have Norton Clone, and have used it several times. But my problem is I have a IDE hard drive and need to clone it to a SATA harddrive. I tried running Norton Clone but when it boots up in dos it freezes.
I am using the SATA built into the ICH5 south bridge and the IDE drive is on IDE1.

Anybody cloned from IDE to SATA, if so HOW!!!

They mostly talk about Raid setups, I just want a SIMPLE IDE to SATA, but the program keeps freezing.

Are there any other GOOD clone programs? Anybody, thanks

Is this of any help, read this on symantec's website....regarding ide to sata, also assuming you mean Norton Ghost......LINK.

Marlin, you could also check the HD manufacturer's website for utilities that will clone, I know WD and Maxtor have, but you'll have to see if they support SATA, they should....but?

Yea I tried teh FNI thing but it still froze right at the start of Norton ghost.

My next thing to it e-mail maxtor and ask if theirs supports IDE to SATA
