Yeah you can for somethings and I do to clean my fans and their blades especially, but you still need canned air to get inside your power supply and heatsinks.
I take mine outside spring and fall with the shop vac on blower!
Be sure to block the fans from spinning with a plastic stir stick or something soft. Dont use the highest speed of course and I also use a small paint brush to brush the small nooks and crannies. Then one last blow and back in they go.
use compressed air to blow the dust out!
wiping components in the case has to potential to create static electricity which can potentially kill sensitive electronic components!:Q
