how come some stuff doesnt shrink, but it seems like old navy stuff does?

how can i make it so the fit isnt distorted when air-drying? sometimes it seems like the fit gets all weird.

I air dry all of my non-undershirt/underwear stuff. I love the stiff feeling that my clothes get, and it helps them not to shrink.

Clothing made from all-natural fibres will shrink if washed in hot water and tumble-dried. To avoid shrinkage, wash the article in cold water, then either lay it flat to dry, or hang it over a banister, etc.

Clothing made from polyester will not shirnk, no matter how you wash it. It's safe to wash a fleece jacket/sweatshirt in hot water and then tumble dry it.

Or just buy larger sizes from now on and cook it in the washer and fry it in the dryer--saves time ahd hassle.
