Tennis balls work great. I use old clean sneakers instead of tennis balls.Originally posted by: imthebadguy

Dry cleaning is bad for down because it strips away the natural oils in the down and will destroy its loft. I would personally hand wash it in a tub with warm water using soap specially formulated for down, making sure that it soaks for 5 minutes in the water. Then dry it in the dryer with a few clean tennis balls to break up the down clumps.
Well, this is what'd I'd do for a down sleeping bag anyway.
