How to clean down comforter

Dry cleaning is bad for down because it strips away the natural oils in the down and will destroy its loft. I would personally hand wash it in a tub with warm water using soap specially formulated for down, making sure that it soaks for 5 minutes in the water. Then dry it in the dryer with a few clean tennis balls to break up the down clumps.

Well, this is what'd I'd do for a down sleeping bag anyway.

You should invest in a duvet cover so you wont have to clean the actual down comforter very often. My down is never exposed and stays clean.

Wash it like a normal comforter, and dry it on low with a bunch of tennis balls. It will fluff right back up.

you serious?
Tennis balls work great. I use old clean sneakers instead of tennis balls.

I've actually heard of that trick too, but I've never tried it because I don't have a down comforter.
