How to clean computer of HP Drivers

I bought a new HP Deskjet F4180 and went through the install. When it asked me to plug in the USB connector I did, and everything was fine until the install gave me a critical error at 96%. I uninstalled all the components that installed, deleted all HP folders, HP registry entries and anything else I could fine.

However, since then my computer has not recognized the HP printer when I plug the USB cable in. It does recognized my lexmark printer which I had hooked up to another computer though.

Windows XP SP3
AMD XP 2500+ @2.0ghz
Abit NF7

I really need this printer for school, any help is much appreciated!
