How to Claim Veteran Status in BattleField 2142

I signed up for the Battlefield veterans satus so i can get unlock but i dont know how you're supposed to claim it. i log in with my EA login and when i try to use my name that i used from BF2 that i reserved it says that i cant use it cus it's in use. how do u claim this. any help is appreciated thanks

How the hell can you get veteran status already, the game just came out?

Try Add/Remove Programs > Battlefield 2142 > Uninstall. That should give you veteran status instantly, considering no veteran would play that horseshit excuse of a game.

It's for people who played BF2. There was a website you register on for it.

-You log in to your EA account... the same one you use for their website and EA downloader.
-You don't register the name from there, you already registered it on the website. Hope you didn't forget the name and password you regged with.

You get the unlock when you get to 40 points - what's that - 1 hours play? Not worth the hassle imo.
