What is a good video card or a bad for video games ?

How to read video card descriptions ?

I want to play new video games will release between 2012 and 2015 just a little bit and not for a long time period.

Just for a little bit entertainement.

I don't want the best video card.

I am searching for a new OEM desktop.

What the next choices could be a good solution for my use ?

HD 7450 AMD Radeon

GT 530 Nvidia

GT 630 Nvidia

HD 7770 AMD Radeon (maybe more expansive than the others choices)

Thank-you for your answer !

Welcome to the forums!

Of those choices the 7770 is the only card even remotely close to being a gaming card. The others are just sad for gaming. Perhaps ok for HTPC duties, but not gaming.

One suggestion for you is to buy an OEM system with a decent quad-core (Intel) cpu. Replace the power supply with something beefier (minimum 500W model from one of the good manufacturers - Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, FSP, etc). Then get a real gaming card at the price point you're comfortable with.

GTX 460 / 6850 / 7770
GTX 560 Ti / 6950
7850

The higher up the list you go, the more the card will cost - but also the more likely it is to still provide you playable performance in the years to come.

EDIT: And just found this great deal on an awesome power supply:

$40 after coupon code + mail in rebate, with free shipping. Doesn't get much better.
