How to check Ubuntu 32 or 64?

I have installed Ubuntu. I thought I downloaded the 64-bit version.

But, when I attempt to run the driver for my sound card (X-Fi), I get an error that the program will only run on a 64-bit OS!
 
I get x86_64 when I type uname -m.

It looks like I have the 64-bit version installed.

How can I update the X-Fi drivers?
