How to check the motherboard?

Hi all,

I wonder if there's any way to check if the motherboard is working properly or not? I recently having some problem and booting my pc (with Windows XP Pro). I had checked the hard drive (Maxtor Hard Drive) and it had passed the test (Power Max).

I was told that maybe my motherboard failed but I don't know how to check it!!

Help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
