I have a gigabyte h67m d2 b3 and i3 2100. I am not using any external video cards just the onboard. I've updated the latest drivers for the motherboard and have the 8.15.10.2361 signed drivers. Those are the latest I believe as i ran a utility on intel's website and it says they're updated.

However, when I run CPU-Z utility and check under the Graphics tab and it says Intel hd 1000 (GT1) and Sandy Bridge , Revision 9.

I have a monitor running at max at 1366x 768 and the video is not the greatest. It's an 18.5 inch monitor.

So I am wondering if I'm only getting hd 1000 graphics or 2000?

Thanks

ok i searched a bit more and looks like cpu-z reports hd2000 as gti for some odd reason. Maybe it's my monitor? It's an emachines brand.

Do I need to enable hardware acceleration or something because I could not find it to improve the display.

Are there any other tests i can run to verify video quality?

thanks

Are you actually experiencing a problem? If you are just worried about CPU-Z reporting it wrong, don't sweat it.

I don't think you can blame mis-reporting by CPU-z on your poor low-end monitor. :)

If, as it seems, the video output is displaying properly & you have the correct drivers, then there is nothing to worry about. Either check for an updated version of CPU-z, or use a more appropriate app like GPU-z.
