How to check CPU temperature?

How does everyone check their CPU temperatures? Are there only some mobos that can do it or do you need to get some sensors?

Any recommended programs, I didn't see any on the ECS site for my board.

I use Everest. Multipurpose utility which will display Temps.

Speedfan is another popular one.
