How to Change Your Windows 10 Login Picture

Because a unique picture helps you and others identify your account on a PC shared by multiple users, it is a good idea to replace the default profile image with your own or the one that reflects your tastes more prominently.

Selecting and setting a picture for your account is simple in Windows 10.

Here’s how:

Step 1
Get to the Your info window

Type YOUR INFO in the Cortana search box, and press Enter. This opens the Your info window. From here you can manage your Microsoft account settings, change your sign-in behavior to Microsoft apps, etc.

Step 2
Choose an image source

Scroll down to the Create your picture section, and click Camera or Browse for one (picked for this example). Where selecting Camera lets you capture a selfie using your laptop’s built-in front camera, clicking the Browse for one option allows you to choose an image from your PC.

Step 3
Select a picture

Locate and select your preferred image using the Open box, and click Choose picture. This sets the selected photo as your account’s profile picture. Once this is done, it is recommended to sign out and sign back in to allow the changes to take effect.
