Let's say I want to change my Torrents directory and everything under it to List view, but I don't want to change EVERY folder to be this way.

Or let's say I want my to change my Photos directory to all be in filmstrip view including all of the subfolders.

How would I do this in WinXP? I have never run into a method of doing this, thanks!

I don't believe that there is if you mean setting them all at one time. Otherwise, sorta:
You have to go to a folder (my computer) open 'tools->folder options' click 'view' go to advanced options and check 'remember each folders view settings', and then you'd have to change the view type for each folder individually (or 'apply to all folders' if for all)--that's the part where I don't think you can do for a subset of folders.

Marked for later in case I'm wrong.

there's one more thing you can do for subfolders (but not as customizable):

right click folder -> properties -> Customize tab -> section "What kind of folder do you want?"

there are some templates there and also a checkbox for "Also apply this template to all subfolders"

Thank you thank you! I think that will likely cover what I am looking for. Unfortunately I will have to try each one to decode what it really does...
