how to change the IE6 logo?

Linux23

Lifer
i mistakenly installed the Comcast HSI software yesterday, and now they put up a customized browser and spinning logo. how do i get rid of this and go to the default IE6 logo???

Ugh...gotta hate that, don't ya? 😉

You could try uninstalling the software (check in the add/remove programs control panel) If it isnt in there, it gets a little trickier. I would suggest searching the newsgroups through google. (click on Groups)

<< In IE5 and IE5.5 the logo information was stored here:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar]
"SmallBitmap"="C:\\PROGRAM FILES\\INTERNET EXPLORER\\logos\\22_stat.bmp"
"SmBrandBitmap"="C:\\PROGRAM FILES\\INTERNET EXPLORER\\logos\\22_ani.bmp"

The
"SmallBitmap"="C:\\PROGRAM FILES\\INTERNET EXPLORER\\logos\\22_stat.bmp"
"SmBrandBitmap"="C:\\PROGRAM FILES\\INTERNET EXPLORER\\logos\\22_ani.bmp"
lines being the bitmaps you want displayed there.
I use AMD spinning logos.
