
The web browser is the application used to launch the websites. Nowadays there are many web browsers that are available. By default, in Windows 10 system, you will find the Microsoft Edge web browser to be the default one. Users can change the default web browser to their preferred browser. Once done, when the user clicks a link, the site will be launched with the chosen web browser. Here is how you can change the default web browser in the Windows 10 system.
Step 1
Click ‘Start Windows’ Icon
Find and click ‘Start Windows’ icon that is found at the left corner of the taskbar. You can also access the start menu by pressing ‘Start Windows’ button on your keyboard.

Step 2
Select the ‘Settings’ Option
In the start menu, you will find a list of options, frequently accessed applications and files. Click the ‘Settings’ option to view the device settings.

Select the ‘Apps’ Settings Option
In the settings option, you will find the privacy, device, network, internet, account, language, time settings, etc. Select the ‘Apps’ settings choice out of them.

Select the ‘Default Apps’ Option
In the system settings window, there will be options like display, notifications, default apps, storage, etc as shown below. Here select the ‘Default Apps’ option.

Navigate to ‘Web Browser’ Section
Once the default apps option is clicked, you will find sections like calendar, email, maps, music player, etc. Scroll down and click the ‘Web browser’ option chosen to change the default web browser in your system.

Step 6
Choose the ‘Default Web Browser’
The list of possible web browsers that can be made default is listed. Click the ‘Web browser’ name that you desire to be the default web browser in your system. Here ‘Firefox’ web browser is chosen as the default web browser.
