How To Change Screen Resolution In Windows 10

Windows 10 is one of the most popular Operating Systems available today. It has a wide variety of options and features, which are extremely helpful in our day to day computing tasks. You can also customize most features available with the OS. Here’s how to change the screen resolution in Windows 10.

Step 1
Click on ‘Start’

First, click on the ‘Windows Icon’ located in the bottom left corner of your desktop/laptop screen. This will open up the Start Menu.

Step 2
Click On ‘Settings’

From the Start Menu, click the ‘Settings’ icon resembling a gear wheel. This will open up the Settings window.

Step 3
Select ‘System’

Once the settings window is open, you now have to click on the ‘System’ option. This should be the first option available on the upper-left of the window.

Step 4
Select ‘Resolution’

After the System Window opens you will see multiple options related to display, such as Screen Orientation and Layout. From this click on the ‘Resolution’ drop-down menu to view a list of available resolution options.

Step 5
Select the ‘Appropriate Resolution’

The resolution drop-down menu will display a list of screen resolutions for your computer. From these, you can select the desired option. It is usually best to select the option marked recommended.

Step 6
Click On ‘Keep Changes’

After you have selected the resolution of your choice, a pop-up appears giving you the option to save the changes or revert. To apply the changes, click on the ‘Keep Changes’ Button. This completes the process.

Once you have done this your screen resolution will be set to your desired preference, and you will be taken back to your desktop screen. It’s as simple as that.
