I've been having some problems with Direct3d games flashing during play, so I wrote Elsa to see what they think it could be. I received a message back today that said I should check to see if it is sharing resources with anything else in my system, I did and it is. Currently my NIC, ATA 100 raid controller, Sound Blaster Live! and Geforce 2 are sharing IRQ 11!!

How do I go about at least changing the GF2 to another IRQ (10 for example). I've tried going into the "Resources" tab under the device manager and it is greyed out.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Try moving the sound card to another PCI slot.....any slot except the one next to the AGP card. Good luck!

Nope tried that. I tried moving the Live!, but its one of those cards that automatically take IRQ 11.

Try to assign an independent IRQ to your audio card if there is any available. You have to do it manually. Some settings allow sharing and you have to set it in audio properties.

Are you using Windows 2000 on a ACPI compliant computer? If so, all the devices in your system will use the same IRQ. It's common and should work in most cases. The only way around this "feature" is to disable the ACPI in the BIOS. On the same note, if you disable ACPI in the BIOS may hose your Windows installation; you'll likely need to reinstall. If you're not using Windows 2000, try manually assigning the IRQs in you BIOS. If the option isn't available, console you motherboard manufacturer for a BIOS update. Finally, try reducing you AGP apeture to the same amount of RAM that's on the video card (i.e. 32MB or 64MB). Also, disable AGP 4X and Fast Writes in the BIOS.

Good luck, have fun!!!
