How to change page to vertical allignment in open office?

Format [menu] > Page > Page [tab] > Orientation "Portrait"/"Landscape [radio button]

Yeah, it a little too different from Office / Word for me too (File > Page Setup > Margins > Orientation)

For future reference, "Alignment" is something different than turning 90 degrees. Changing the page alignment will make the body of your text come down from the top (standard), print in the center (like a flyer/cover page), print at the bottom (if you're weird), or spread across the page vertically (justified lines).
