how to change hotmail/passport/messenger ID?

Few years back I got a hotmail ID, then I got messenger, turn into passport...so how can I change my MSN id so I can use another Email address and not loose all my contacts in messenger and in turn they can see me??

By creating a new ID and re-adding all the names in your old contact list.

Quick: Contacts->Save Contact List. Logon with the new account, Contacts->Import Contacts from a Saved File.

Lot faster than adding one at a time...
