how to change folder icons, and find model of processor

as for the folder icon thing:
I have a partition, and when on XP i made my documents on a seperate partition, and there were like different folder icons, such as my music, my movies, my downloads

but when i moved to win2k pro, the folder icons, well changed to lil white page with a windows icon on it

And i just want to change it to a regular folder icon, or maybe those ones from XP if possible

As for the processer model:
there were two types, i have an XP 2200+ and apparently there was a model 10 and a model 8, would like to know what i have

Try CPU-Z from http://www.cpuid.com for the CPU thing (assuming it's in a running system at the moment).

For the icons, open My Computer, click Tools > Folder Options, then the File Types tab on the resulting panel. Select a file type, click the Advanced button, and you can specify an icon to use with it. That'll help with filetypes, anyway.

Go to Microsoft and download TweakUI and install it. I believe there's a Rebuild Icons feature in it.

Then I would right-click in the blank part of the window, choose New > Folder, type a name for the new folder, press Enter... bingo, you got a folder with a normal folder icon 😀 Dump in your files from the folder with the messed-up icon, delete the messed-up-icon folder now it's empty, and there you go.

:Q ~ it's so crazy, it just might work!
