How to change drive letters?

I just reformatted my computer, and it recognizes my Master Hard drive as C:, my Burner as D:, my Cd-ROM as E: and my Secondary HD as F:

I was wondering how can i change it so my Secondary HD is D:, my Burner is E:, and my CD-ROM is F:

Thanks.

i see from your rig you are on win2k, here's what you do

open computer management (as admin of course)

go to disk management

wait a second

wait a few more

then right click a disc, and go to change drive letter/path (something like that, i'm not looking at it right now)

easy as pie

EDIT: btw i should scold you for not posting this in the OS forum, where it should be. you probably would have got a faster response there. i aint bitchin but make a note of it.🙂

lol...I love that whole 'wait' part, that 'menu' does take forever to load.

Could someone explain how to do this in 98SE? I ran into this same issue last week and didn't know how to change the driver letters.
Thanks

Thanks for the help 🙂

Go to controlpanel(computer management?)/system/diskmanagement then go to the tab for your burner/cd and then under properities, there you can change your letters for Burner/cd. But not for your harddrive think you must reformat that drive to change driveletter, maybe.
