How to change default user in Windows 2000

My brother's Windows 2000 machine boots to the Administrator. The machine is configured to not ask for a password. My brother is a user and he uses his name for username and he has administrator status. If he logs off the administrator and logs in, he gets his profile. But when he reboots, it automatically boots to the administrator. How can he get his machine to boot to his profile instead of the Administrator's?

I haven't used Win2K in a while. I know in WinXP you run 'control userpasswords2' to bring up the account manager where you change that. Not sure if it's the same for Win2K though.

Would that be run from the command window? Hard to believe you have to do that in Win2k to change the default logon.

Right click the my computer Icon > select properties > select Network Identification > then click the Network ID button > select this computer is for home use or not part of a domain, blah, blah, the next screen I think will ask if users must enter a UN and Password or if you want them to automatically logon, then you select who to automatically logon. If you need me to fire up my 2k VM and give you specifics let me know

VirtualLarry, I'm sure he doesn't have TweakUI installed.

Thanks for those instructions, 2canSAM. I don't know why, but the problem seems to have gone away. I got on the phone with him a couple of days ago and had him reboot and it booted to his profile and didn't require a password. It had been booting to the administrator. I was set to guide him in editing the default logon user in the registry (not certain that it would have worked, but it seemed like something that would work), but it wasn't necessary.
