Last I saw this done the executable itself needed to be editted. There are programs out there but I can't remember. In my experience it was difficult to perfect and even worse to ditribute, you need to write files using runonce test and distribute. Good luck

hehe, just Install Novell.

It uses a BMP file for the Ctr+Alt+Del spash screen. Easy to edit that. :p

Short of writing your own gina, there isn't a supported way of doing this. Is this really the type of stuff your company has time to worry about, can I come work for you ;)

bsobel, you'd be surprised what companies will "ask for".

Way back when, we were using Novell. If you've ever used Novell... it has it's own "Press CtR+Alt+Del to login" spalsh screen. Well, this is just a BMP file it displays... Easily changed to whatever size and location you want.

So, in those days I was the lead PC tech, and I outfitted all the PC's with a really cool 800x600 screen with company logo's, help information... the works.

Well, when we went pure Windows 2000 all that went away and you got the boring MS version of "Login you idiot" screen. SO... my boss asked me, "Can you make a cool login like we used to have?"
I didn't give him an answer like, Yea, but it would take this (lots of programming). I just told him No. I knew the answer would have been "oh, never mind then. We don't want to fool with that!"

;)

I'm a programmer now. I get asked lots of stuff like "Could we do this? or That?" When I tell them what it takes, I usually get the same "oh, never mind that then."

lol :D
