how to cancel negative feedback on ebay?

I gave the buyer a negative feedback because he has not responded to my last 8 emails. He was busy and did not check his email and has responded now. Is there a way for me to take back the negative rating i gave him? 🙁

I don't think you can cancel feedback.

By the way, how long did you wait until you gave him negative feedback for not responding?

Next time include a time limit in any auction as to when you want to be contacted, and anytime after will be given negative feedback. On another note, might I suggest you take a remedial english class at your local community college?

That way, we all wont need to be cryptographers to understand your plight.

Square Trade
You or he can pay a fee of $20 and assuming your buyer is willing (I think he would be) then you can get the negative removed from their account.
That is only if you want to and another way for Ebay to get their cut.

thats how i understand it too. that system kinda sux, becuz ppl will just see the number of neg feedback... rarely will anyone actually go looking for that specific transaction and read, and thus see that the neg feedback was actually updated.

I agree :disgust:. I have two bad feedbacks that came from two IDIOTS. One was for a CD and the other for a PS2 game. The guy with the PS2 game backed out after the auction was over, which I was just going to let slide, but then he left me negative feedback for no reason! The guy with the cd gave me a wrong e-mail address to send paypal to and left bad feedback 4 days later when I thought everything was paid for. Luckily the sellers have gotten many bad feed backs over time and it's obvious their a**holes, e-bay did a pretty bad job with the rating system though, I called in and they said they had no control over the feedback

Isn't / shouldn't there be a way for eBay to indicate how many negative feedback a person has given? For instance, someone gives you negative feedback. Others wanting to buy from you can click on that person's name (who gave you neg. feedback) and be able to tell how many times he's given negative feedback in the past. That way, the buyer can take that rating of you with a grain of salt.

In addition, that would prevent people from just dropping negative feedback without thinking twice because it affects them too, in a way.

Is this already done? I've never used eBay nor do I intend to.

i typed very fast and there were some typos. freak :disgust::disgust:

8 e-mails? How many business days passed? If it was more than 3 business days before he responded, then he deserves the bad feedback and should have to live with it. If you have time to bid make sure you have time to follow up. Post a follow-up to the feedback saying he eventually came around and the deal was completed without further incident.
