Question How to calculate Main Memory Latency on Linux?

Hi All,

I was reading a very well written article https://www.anandtech.com/show/12195/hisilicon-kirin-970-power-performance-overview/2. In this article one of the figures (3rd Figure) titled "SPEC 2006 Subtest Memory Latency Sensitivity" talks about performance difference for 115ns vs 80ns change in memory latency. It is written above that the memory controller frequency is changed to bring change in latency.

Below are some questions I had:
1. How did you change the frequency of the memory controller?
2. How did you measure Main Memory Access Latency?

I am currently working with a Hikey970 board with ubuntu installed on it for my analysis, is there any way I can do the measurements?

Any direction would be of great help.

Thank you.
