When I read reviews of video cards, I can see there must be some way to calculate FPS pretty precisely over a set period of time and during a set "scene" in a game.
For instance, one will read that such-and-such card displayed 58.6 fps in the Bobblestein map of game Darth Fork III: Eat Me . Etc.
How am I able to get the information on my own computer when running a game on my computer?
Some games have an executable switch that allows me to see fps info on the screen ... but as far as calculating a precise average over time, I don't know how to do that.
