I don't want the actual bullion in my posession.

I'd prefer not to buy stocks in a gold mining company.

How do I invest in gold.

I don't know a thing about options.

Yes, I am dumb.

Go to a brokerage house and tell them you're interested in buying commodities.

Before you do, look at the 10- and 20-year growth in value of those investments.

If you're planning to buy and hold, I'd suggest you go to vanguard.com and buy a stock index mutual fund instead :)

Why would you buy gold now? It's like buying internet stocks in 1999. Gold will be worthless in the future. Might as well horde sea shells.

As long as women exist, gold will always have a price. Gold is also an amazing conductor.

Yes, but the price per ounce declined steadily from 1980 - 2001, and since 9/11 has only climbed back up to the 1980 peak. That's before adjusting for inflation.

Yes, but I predict cheaper alternatives to gold conductors will be invented in the future. Also, other metals are replacing Gold in jewelry.
