How to burn MP4?

Okay, I have a sony m1 and i am trying to burn a MP4 video into a VCD. I am using CD-R because the file is very small. I even made a menu for the VCD. When i played the disc on my DVD player, there was NO sound and the quality was absolutely horrible. When i play the MP4 file on my computer, its okay.

Also, is there a software that can just transfer all the pictures and videos with a click of a button (or a few clicks)? I want to keep it easy for my dad.
 
VCD is very low quality compared to MP4 since VCDs use MP1 technology. Converting to DVD is a much better idea. Also with Nero you can make a shorter DVD video disc with a CD-R
 
Actually, i've tried to burn it as DVD video with nero. It gave me some error. when it was about to finish.
