burning now my very first Red Hat 7 CD1!
now just download the second CD... on a 56K modem... 🙁 (no j/k)

there are sites that sell burned linux distros (probably for people with slow connections) for around $2/CD. it might be worth it if you're on a 56K.

Do a search on the forsale board, there are people selling the distro very on a couple of dollars? It'll save you major headache on a 56k, not to mention if you get d/c..ouch!

2$ + 20$ International Shipment + the fat that there are NO stores which support international shipment (have been trying to buy a RIO VOLT for weeks now with no luck) = Don't worth it!
but thanks for the response fallas, thats why i like this place!

I've downloaded Red Hat 7, slackware 7.1, and FreeBSD on my 56k, for a grand total of $0 (ISP doesn't mind, and its a local call). Well, burning the CDs cost $.33. But I'd rather wait then go to a store / buy online.
