Step 1
Insert a Blank CD
Firstly, insert a blank CD or DVD. It doesn't really matters which one you insert. Blank DVD has a much broader capacity as compared to the CD.
Step 2
Menu will be Presented
Now as soon as the computer takes a blank media, it's going to present you with its menu.

Select the 'Operation '
You can select either the ‘Open Finder’ option or ‘Open iTunes’, or you can open the disk utility.

Default ‘Action’
Tick on the box placed near the ‘Make this Action the Default’ option.

Click on ‘OK’
Now, click on ‘OK’.

Create the 'Burn Folder'
A burn folder will be created on your desktop. If it’s a CD, the name of the folder will be ‘Untitled CD’ by default.

Navigate to the Folder
Click on the folder. You will see 'Untitled CD' bar on the right side of the pane along with the burn icon.

There will be a ‘Burn’ option on the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Select ‘View’
Now, go to the top left side of the screen and click on ‘View’. Then click on the ‘Show Status Bar’.

Check 'Available Files' and 'Space'
You will find that there are 0 items in your burn folder with 735.6 MB available, that's how much you can add to the folder before burning.

Add Files
Now to add files, you just need to drag a couple of files into the burn folder.

Click on the ‘Burn’ Button
Now to burn, all you need to do is click on the ‘Burn’ button.

'Drag It'
Now simply 'Drag It' and release it to the burn icon.

Choose from the Options
A new window will open up. Choose the ‘Disc Name’ and the ‘Burn Speed’. It's always better that you select the fastest speed to make your work faster.

Navigate to 'Burn' Button
Now just hit the ‘Burn’ button.

You now will see that your data is being burned. Those riding tracks are the data on the CD. It will take some time to finish the process.

Drag it into the ‘Trash’
Now all you need to do is to simply drag your burn folder into the trash and then delete it. Here you go, your burn CD is released.
