I am wondering if it is possible to burn a .BIN file with Nero? I know you are suppose to use CDRwin but I cannot get it to work in XP because of the ASPI. So, will Nero do it? or any other burning software with it's own ASPI layer do it?

Also, if anyone has the link to download the ASPI files, please post it.

Thanks,

If you have the .cue file you can burn it with Nero.
Just make sure the path is correct on the .cue sheet (you can open it in notepad)
If there is no path make sure both files are in the same directory.
In Nero: File/Burn Image change the 'files of type' to 'all files (*.*)'
Choose the .cue and burn away.

The Adaptec ASPI installer requires that you have an Adaptec host controller installed. If not, it will refuse to install the ASPI layers. In this case, use ForceASPI (near the bottom).

If you go to www.goldenhawk.com and download the newest version of cdrwin which is 4.0a and you install it, it will ask you if you want to install the aspi drivers and just click yes, and it will work.

Yes this works with Windows XP as I'm running it right now with cdrwin 4.0a installed. I didn't have to use any other aspi drivers.

And force aspi wont work with winxp, i tried it before.

I couldn't figure out how to burn a .bin in nero, so I d/led a program called Bin2Iso, converted the .bin to an .iso and then burned it w/ nero. Worked fine.
