I just post a thread asking every little detail! :shocked:

Nah, doesn't deserve a sticky. Nice hands in the pic though.

I feel the articles makes too much fuss about cleaning the CPU and HSF and applying the thermal compound.

Also, this is just IMO of course, but ALWAYS test the motherboard outside the case before wasting time installing it and cleaning up the cables. It takes but a few minutes. I'm sure it hasn't happened to most people, but how many threads do we see where people say "I just put it together and it won't turn on." Often the troubleshooting of those PCs ends up with a suggestion to take the board out and test it on a non-conductive surface without all the extraneous stuff plugged in.
