How to build a laptop

I might be blind, but I cant find any good guides on building a laptop. I've built a couple desktops, but dont do PC gaming anymore, and need to conserve space (moving to a dorm). This is what I'm looking for.

CPU 1-2 GHZ (I think a 1.3 Ghz centrino would work)
Hard Drive 60 GB 5400
Memory 256 MB DDR
CD CD/RW
Sound Creative Labs Audigy 2 NX External USB
USB 2 USB 2.0
LCD 14-19" depending on how much this affects price
Network 10/100 Lan card + wireless capabilities (This comes with Centrion right?)
A Printer Port
A battery that will last 5+ hours (The longer the better)

Anything I'm missing, or suggestions? Thanks.
The computer will be used for audio editing and recording, internet, and word processing. A large hard drive is needed for my audio needs. Being able to send video out to a TV would be nice if its affordable, otherwise my only video needs are playing Divx.

Well you don't have a video card. I'd try and jam a 9800 Pro in there....

I saw some barebone laptops being advertised when looking for Asus resellers, but I have no idea if they are legit or how easy it would be to do all the upgrading. You probably wouldn't save all that much, if it's even possible.

Yeah, as mentioned above, look into a nice video card. I hear the origional fx5800s are real nice for mobile gaming.

Also, for the hard drive, check out the atlas series, their qualities make them great for mobility.

I think a pair of SATA 120MB drives on a raid O configuration might really help out your audio editing performance. You should have plenty of room to bolt them to the back of the LCD if you decide to go with the 19 inch. You could probably get a 12" desktop top fan to fit on the back of that too. As far as the battery life you better look into a marine application if you really want 5 hours plus.

Don't forget to to do some serious strength training to prepare to carry this around.
