how to boot to DOS in windows xp pro SP2

How do i boot to DOS in windows XP PRO SP2???? i dont have a floppy drive on the computer.... all i have is a usb flash

I don't think there is a DOS with XP. You can get a command prompt by running "command" or "cmd".

If you want to repair, you'll have to boot to the XP CD.

hmm well im trying to flash my videocard bios and i dont think i can do that from a command line in xp right? not too sure...

you will need to make a dos boot floppy

You can make a bootable CD and use that to flash your drive. The only bad thing about a bootable CD over a bootable floppy is that you can not backup your old firmware before flashing the drive.

Go to http://www.bootdisk.com/ and look down the page to the "BOOTABLE CD" section. That will tell you how to make a bootable CD.

Can you copy a win98 startup floppy to your USB flash drive? I think you can get the W98 floppy files from Bootdisk.com.
