How to Boot Off SATA Drive with Chaintech VNF3-250?

My primary disk is SATA and boots normally and quickly when installed only with 2 CDROM drives on IDE2. When i connect an IDE drive to IDE1 and boot, the computer takes well over a minute to get past the drive detection screen. It sits with boot code "75" for a very long time. It takes at least 3 min to get to windows, but it works. In BIOS i have the boot order set to Disabled for all devices, but I allow it to search for other boot devices. I've tried setting HDD-0 and HDD-1 as the only boot devices, but then it just fails to load windows. I'm using the 3-08-2004 bios that it ships with. Any ideas on this problem?

Figured out how to get around this.

First, i had to set my HD to single, rather than master. That speeds up the boot considerably, but the mobo is confused about which drive to boot off of.

Second, I have to set SCSI as the first boot device. For some reason that is what it considers my SATA drive to be, despite the fact that its plugged right into the motherboard, and there are no SCSI components in my case. I turned off the 2nd and 3rd boot options, as well as Boot from Other Device.

Set the primary boot device to SCSI. That should cause it to go straight to your SATA drive and boot from it.

Edit: I see you figured it out while I was posting ...
