How To Boot Into Safe Mode On Windows 10

Booting your Windows 10 in Safe Mode can be a good strategy to solve many problems you may have with it. Not many people know how to do it from windows itself; so read on and find out how to reboot your computer in safe mode to fix the problems with it.

Step 1
‘Restart’ your Computer

Press the ‘Shift Key’ while restarting your computer normally. This key combination will give you access to the ‘Reboot’ menu.

Choose 'Troubleshoot'

From the ‘Restart’ menu options, choose ‘Troubleshoot’. Selecting this option will give you access to further options on the ‘Restart’ menu.

Choose ‘Advanced Options’

From the options available in the following menu, select ‘Advanced Options’. Selecting this option will take you to the next menu.

Select ‘Startup Settings’

Click on the ‘Startup Settings’ option. This selection will grant you access to the options for the startup of your computer.

Click on ‘Restart’

Click on the ‘Restart’ button. This is an information menu that tells you what can you ‘Restart’ your Windows 10 as. Here you have to only click on the ‘Restart’ button.

Pick an Option

Press the key for the option you want to choose. In this menu, the kind of safe mode restart you need for your computer is selected. Press 'F4', 'F5' or 'F6' and your computer will restart in safe mode, safe mode with networking or safe mode with command prompt.
