how to block users from disabling the use of ISA as a proxy?

Hello guys.

We have a Win2003 with ISA 2004, Exchange, etc and it works as a proxy server.

But since the router is configured as the default gateway, if people decide to disable the use of the proxy server in Internet Explorer, we lose the ability to shape & monitor traffic the way we want.

How can I force traffic to go through ISA server & disalow users from changing that?

Your best best is to block port 80 and 443 on your router. only allow your proxy server out on those ports.

What w0ss suggested will do exactly what you want to do. You can also lock down the PCs so that users cannot install programs or modify the IE settings using Group Policies.
