How to block unwanted sites

How do I go about from blocking xxx sites on IE. I went to IE settings under Privacy tabs and clicked on sites and added some sites but they still show up. Any suggestions?

I would like to block them so my younger brother doesnt access them.

If you know the name, go to the hosts file, and add a line like this:

pornlinkgoeshere.com <TAB (where you click the TAB button )> google.com

Do that for every link you don't want your little brother to see, save the file, and let him on the pc.
