HOw to block morpheus ???

hi,
My housemate just download movies from there non stop . And my ISP warn me , if i still uploading & downloading too much, my account will be ban. I am using a linksys 4 port router but there is no way i can block the program from downloading and uploading. i tried to block the port 6346 , it doesnt work. anyone can help ? thanks

If the connection is in your name just go tell him to stop. If he doesn't stop unplug him from the router.

Not sure how to set the firewall up to block him, but there should be a way.

run a packet sniffer and check to see what port morpheus uses. It used to use port 1214 (kazaa still does), but they changed ports when they switched networks.

well , the internet connection is on my name ofcourse but we are sharing the cost of the connection. so i cant really just ask him to stop it. Beside that, we still gonna stay together for a long time ..so ..no point. He know nothing about computer ...so i am thinking of just block morpheus ... using port filter is unable to block morpheus anymore because they are using peer to peer sharing .......well i guess i have to live with it. thanks anyway guys

You could try getting a more capable router that can do that type of thing. I know my netgear has a lot more specialized options in the command line window. Have you ever tried to telnet to it? I can't remember if linksys has a telnet config or not.

At any rate, the screen I'm talking about looks like 'real' packet filtering. Lets you filter by dest IP, src IP, port, proto, etc.
