how to block certain IPs (outgoing), without 3rd party program

ok,

problem:

Certain programs are calling home - and i want to block this IPs for outgoing calls.

In my everyday work i do NOT use any software Firewalls or IP blockers etc...however i have a Linksys WRTG router with latest HyperWRT software.

The most obvious thing would be going into the router and add this (or any other) IP....but the option for blocking obviously only allows URLS and no plain IPs.

Any idea ?

Edit: I am on XP SP2 here

n/m....found it out 🙂 there's an option in the router (firewall scripts)...so i added an iptable entry
