How to best record calls from speaker on iphone?

New to iphone, don't want to root it, and wondering if you can use an app to simply record from the speaker on loud? Can this be done? How would you do that so you don't have to do 3-way or something complicated. Thanks in advance for all good advice.

Can you connect the lightning to 3.5mm adaptor to a speaker and have call audio go to the speaker? If so, just plug it into a line-in like your PC and record it that way.

Recording off the speaker is a terrible idea because for one, phone speakers are shit quality and not suitable for anything, and two I'm willing to bet only one app can use the microphone at a time.

I would just send call audio out to an external recording device via the 3.5mm adaptor.
